Description

  • Drive adoption of Elastic’s AI-powered search, observability, and security solutions in new and existing public sector accounts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to help customers turn data into actionable insights.
  • Position Elastic as the Search AI platform of choice by discussing cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architectures.
  • Solve complex customer data challenges beyond simple transactional selling.
  • Advocate for Elastic’s open-source offerings while articulating the value of commercial features.
  • Identify new use cases that show how Elastic improves efficiency and intelligence.
  • Develop business plans that leverage community, customer, and partner ecosystems to grow the territory.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and manage complex sales cycles from discovery through close.
  • Uncover pain, business impact, budget, and decision criteria using qualification frameworks such as MEDDPICC.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to accelerate deals and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven success in SaaS subscription sales within Public Sector, Police, or Interior accounts, supported by overachievement.
  • High-level technical curiosity paired with the presence of a value-based seller.
  • Ability to craft tailored value stories that connect technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes such as revenue gain or risk mitigation.
  • Experience leading executive-level negotiation, contract discussions, and pricing discussions.
  • Comfort discussing security, observability, vector and traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Consistent, predictable, and accurate sales forecasting ability.
  • Ability to collaborate with customers on formal close plans and maintain an up-to-date CRM.
  • Ability to create alignment across teams to accelerate deals.
  • Appreciation for the open-source model and willingness to use AI and new technologies for performance and deal structuring.
