Description

  • Own multi-terabyte-per-day log ingestion, routing, enrichment, schema management, and source onboarding across AWS and GCP.
  • Control ingestion cost and volume while preserving audit logs required for investigations.
  • Model security data and optimize queries in Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
  • Build and operate production services, SIEM connectors, API clients, and automation.
  • Define SLOs for log availability and freshness, with dashboards and alerting to monitor them.
  • Manage infrastructure as code and CI/CD, including deployment paths for detections-as-code.
  • Build AI agents and automated runbooks to accelerate cloud triage and remediation.
  • Enforce IAM and service-account governance for cloud pipeline workloads.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with infrastructure, platform engineering, and incident response teams.
  • Maintain technical standards and documentation, mentor Cyber Defense engineers, and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building and operating production data pipelines at multi-terabyte-per-day scale using tools such as Kafka, Cribl, Dataflow, Kinesis, or CloudWatch.
  • 4+ years writing production software in Python, Go, Rust, or Java.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Strong SQL and data-modeling experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, including partitioning, cost control, and query tuning.
  • Experience owning platform reliability for systems used by other engineers, including on-call responsibilities.
  • Experience building executive dashboards and actionable engineering metrics.
  • Technical leadership and project-management experience across infrastructure, platform engineering, and incident response.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration skills, and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Experience with enterprise SIEM platforms such as Google SecOps/Chronicle, Splunk, Elastic, or CrowdStrike LogScale is preferred.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, runtime security, security telemetry, detections-as-code, LLM-assisted workflows, penetration testing, red teaming, or bug-bounty triage is a plus.
