Description

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and customers to gather and document business requirements.
  • Analyse accounting workflows and translate business needs into detailed functional specifications.
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and provide functional recommendations.
  • Validate customer business processes and expected financial outcomes.
  • Design and execute manual and automated test scenarios.
  • Develop end-to-end test plans for financial workflows and integrated business processes.
  • Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects through resolution.
  • Validate accounting functionality across core financial modules and integrated systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, ERP Consultant, or Financial Systems Consultant.
  • Strong background in accounting, finance, ERP, or financial software environments.
  • Experience working across multiple concurrent projects within product or software development teams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and test scenarios.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial business processes.
  • Experience working with financial software or ERP platforms.
  • Ability to validate financial data flows, accounting transactions, and business outcomes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite, MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Pronto, Oracle ERP, TechnologyOne, or MYOB Advanced (Acumatica) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with API testing, REST APIs, integration testing, SQL, data validation, and automated testing tools.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar test management platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled software platforms is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable communicating with finance professionals, customers, and software engineers.
  • Proactive, organised, and committed to continuous improvement.
