Description

  • Prospect into a targeted set of enterprise accounts while running an efficient sales process.
  • Nurture existing client relationships and expand Datadog’s footprint within assigned accounts.
  • Build, maintain, and own relationship maps for the territory, including existing and aspirational contacts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s business and buying drivers.
  • Negotiate pricing and business terms by articulating value and ROI.
  • Determine the steps needed to close deals and secure customer validation.
  • Identify and manage the business drivers behind each sales opportunity.
  • Maintain high forecasting accuracy and consistency.
  • Work with account teams and partner functions to support complex sales cycles.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of enterprise software sales experience.
  • Experience selling into Fortune 100 companies and winning new business.
  • Experience managing complex account teams across multiple GTM ecosystem partner functions.
  • Success selling new solutions into accounts already using core technical products.
  • Ability to leverage existing customer contacts and net-new prospecting to open new business units and sell net-new products.
  • Consistent history of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals.
  • Ability to prospect and build pipeline independently.
  • Experience working for an innovative technology company.
  • Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.
