Description

  • Partner with the Sales team to explain Datadog’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
  • Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase and help resolve issues or concerns to successful conclusion.
  • Technically close complex opportunities using competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
  • Deliver product and technical briefings and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate customer notes and feedback in CRM for both wins and losses.
  • Proactively share product feedback and competitive insights with Datadog business and technical teams.
  • Support technical evaluations and POVs with customers and partners.
  • Provide a customer voice to the product team to help prioritize features.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
  • Experience with programming or scripting in Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, .NET, or similar languages.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate both business value and technical advantages.
  • Ability to sit up to 4 hours while traveling to and from client sites.
  • Ability to travel by auto, train, or air up to 45% of the time.
  • Passion for educating customers on observability risks and building evaluation plans.
  • Willingness to grow skills even if not meeting all qualifications on day one.
