Description

  • Drive platform consumption by identifying high-value use cases and increasing customer usage.
  • Identify, structure, and close strategic committed deals to accelerate and de-risk priority initiatives.
  • Prospect and generate leads using intent signals, account planning, customer stories, and other sources.
  • Engage prospects with support from BDRs, Marketing, and network relationships to displace incumbent technologies.
  • Lead first meetings with a compelling point of view and create urgency for change.
  • Build and execute territory and account plans to prioritize sales pursuits.
  • Run activities such as roundtables, bootcamps, and industry events to develop relationships and advance pipeline.
  • Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline and manage the sales cycle from initial contact through close.
  • Create proof of concepts and coordinate with architects, professional services, and engagement managers.
  • Align with executive sponsors and coordinate demand planning to support customer success.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales within the digital native industry, preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience selling innovation in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS environments, ideally in a consumption-first model.
  • Strong prospecting, lead generation, and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to drive consumption and secure customer commitment.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including GDRs and Customer Success teams.
  • Understanding of the Databricks platform and the ability to communicate its value to customers.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex and ambiguous customer situations.
  • Demonstrated initiative, proactivity, drive, prioritization, grit, and attention to detail.
  • Creative, coachable, and open to change and uncertainty.
  • Ability to generate broad impact from planned activities.
