Description

  • Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership in customer conversations.
  • Collaborate with customers, product teams, and customer-facing teams to develop architectures and solutions using the Databricks platform and APIs.
  • Advise customers on big data architecture, best practices, and implementation approaches.
  • Build and deliver proof-of-concepts for strategic projects across data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analytics workflows.
  • Validate integrations with cloud services, in-house tools, and third-party applications.
  • Work closely with fellow Solutions Architects to support customers and internal teams.
  • Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks open-source projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
  • Develop technical champions within customer organizations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a similar pre-sales/consulting role.
  • Experience building distributed data systems.
  • Strong programming and debugging ability in Python and SQL.
  • Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka, or in data science and machine learning tools such as pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Willingness to travel to customers in your region.
  • Preferred degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research.
  • Databricks Certification is nice to have.
  • Remote location preferred in Pacific Time; Mountain Time considered.

  • Base salary range of $180,000 to $247,500 USD.
