Description

  • Lead a team of Solutions Architects within Databricks’ Field Engineering organization in Latam.
  • Hire, train, onboard, enable, and grow a high-performing technical pre-sales team.
  • Partner with Sales and other Field Engineering teams to support revenue growth and customer success.
  • Maintain a strong hiring pipeline and scale the team in a high-growth environment.
  • Build and sustain relationships across the business to support customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure the team stays current on the technology stack and continues learning.
  • Guide the team through technical qualification, validations, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations.
  • Foster external partnerships with systems integrators and independent software vendors.
  • Create a positive team culture and strengthen collaboration across Field Engineering, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
  • Review and influence complex architectures to guide customers toward scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and leading technical pre-sales or post-sales teams, including hiring, onboarding, and enabling team members.
  • 10+ years of experience in the data space with technical products such as data warehousing, big data, machine learning, or generative AI.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to technical executives on strategic data infrastructure decisions.
  • Strong understanding of consumption-driven business models and long-term growth drivers.
  • Experience hiring high-performing candidates, ramping them successfully, and promoting them into larger roles.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
  • Technical credibility strong enough to earn the trust of Engineering talent and leadership.
  • Demonstrated architectural influence with the ability to review complex architectures and recommend scalable solutions.
  • Experience establishing partnerships with systems integrators (SIs) and independent software vendors (ISVs) is preferred.
