Description

  • Lead one or more regional Sales Engineering teams and set direction, priorities, and performance expectations.
  • Translate corporate strategy into actionable regional technical sales plans, including coverage, enablement, and execution standards.
  • Direct regional solution architecture to design scalable, secure, differentiated solutions for customer needs.
  • Define and enforce discovery methodology to uncover customer outcomes, technical constraints, and decision criteria.
  • Own demonstration and proof-of-concept strategy to ensure strong technical validation and deal impact.
  • Drive collaboration with Sales, Channel, Operations, Product, Marketing, and Services to accelerate deal progression.
  • Build the region’s technical trust through executive engagement, architecture reviews, and deep customer relationships.
  • Direct regional competitive strategy and equip teams with battlecards and technical differentiation.
  • Optimize staffing, budget, presales processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop presales talent, including career paths and succession planning.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Presales, or Solutions Architecture in enterprise software, cloud, data management, cybersecurity, or similar technical domains.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing managers and/or multiple teams across a region.
  • Proven track record of improving technical win rates and influencing large, complex deals.
  • Experience scaling presales motions across discovery, demo, proof-of-concept, and proposal support.
  • Strong solution architecture experience across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Understanding of security, integration, and operational considerations in customer environments.
  • Experience partnering with Sales leadership on territory planning, coverage models, pipeline governance, and forecasting.
  • Excellent executive communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Travel may be required for key customer engagements, team development, and regional business reviews.
