Description

  • Own the global go-to-market and enablement strategy for each new product category Databricks enters.
  • Build scalable enablement assets using AI, including technical deep dives, competitive talk tracks, hands-on labs, and demo environments.
  • Design and build demo environments and proof-of-concept patterns that solutions architects can adapt for customer conversations.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate roadmap plans and upcoming features into field-ready assets before general availability.
  • Capture field friction, lost deals, and solutions architect objections, then turn that feedback into actionable recommendations for Product.
  • Develop the competitive narrative and positioning story that explains why Databricks for new categories.
  • Create multi-format enablement programs such as deep dives, solution sessions, AI role-plays, hands-on labs, and self-paced learning paths.
  • Build AI-powered internal tools and workflows that help the field answer questions, practice pitches, and stay current on market signals.
  • Define and track key performance indicators for field readiness and deal outcomes.
  • Maintain direct customer-facing experience through executive briefings and selected competitive proof-of-concepts.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, developer relations, technical product marketing, or technical enablement.
  • Experience running proof-of-concepts, handling objections live, and defending technical positions against competitors.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technical domains quickly and become credible in new technologies and categories.
  • Builder mentality with a bias toward creating tools, demos, and automations rather than slide decks.
  • Experience building enablement programs from scratch, not only iterating on existing content.
  • Strong product instinct for mapping feature roadmaps to customer use cases and competitive differentiation.
  • Experience working directly with Product and Engineering teams as a peer.
  • Ability to challenge Product with field evidence when the field cannot sell a solution effectively.
  • Scaling mindset with an ability to design for a global technical field team and automate for leverage.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to audiences ranging from solutions architects to executives.
  • Preferred: experience at a high-growth infrastructure company during a major product launch.
  • Preferred: background in both pre-sales and post-sales technical roles.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with Databricks or competitive platforms.
  • Preferred: experience building AI applications on operational databases, including RAG patterns and agent architectures.
  • Preferred: experience using AI to automate content creation, build internal tools, or ship demos faster.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $174,200 to $299,400 USD, depending on location zone.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
