Description

  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of customer billings, including subscriptions, usage charges, professional services, and one-time fees.
  • Ensure invoices are complete, compliant, and delivered within SLA and contractual timelines.
  • Manage and resolve complex billing inquiries and escalations through the Salesforce billing queue.
  • Investigate and resolve customer billing disputes while maintaining a strong customer experience.
  • Drive process optimization and automation across ERP, Salesforce integrations, billing/rating systems, and CRM platforms.
  • Identify billing process improvement opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including A/R roll-forwards and account reconciliations, and support quarter-end audit requirements.
  • Manage customer and vendor portals, including invoice uploads against purchase orders and ongoing updates.
  • Submit and process credit requests and billing adjustments, ensuring accurate updates to accounts receivable records.
  • Maintain documentation of billing and accounts receivable processes, controls, and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or ACCA are a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in SaaS billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations.
  • Deep understanding of subscription and usage-based billing models, global billing best practices, compliance standards, and revenue processes in a large organization.
  • Proven experience managing complex billing escalations and supporting month-end and quarter-end close, including reconciliations and A/R roll-forwards.
  • Experience ensuring audit readiness under tight deadlines.
  • Strong systems expertise with global ERPs such as NetSuite or SAP, Salesforce, payment platforms, spreadsheet-based data analysis, and ticketing queue management.
  • SQL proficiency for reporting is a plus.
  • Experience working with vendor and customer portals such as Ariba and Coupa, including PO-backed invoicing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Deal Desk, IT, and Engineering, communicate complex billing concepts clearly, and adapt to evolving priorities.
