Description

  • Own the assigned territory and exceed revenue targets by managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Build and maintain a healthy 12-month pipeline through consistent prospecting and lead development.
  • Navigate complex 12–18 month SaaS sales cycles with multiple stakeholders in the mid-market higher education space.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development, Marketing, Professional Services, Finance, Engineering, channel partners, and other internal teams to advance opportunities.
  • Take an active role in the RFP process, including preparing written presentations, reports, and price quotations.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and support deal closure.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge, selling skills, and industry awareness through self-learning and training initiatives.
  • Use Salesforce to track activities, manage pipeline, and report accurately.
  • Attend and represent D2L at sales meetings, product seminars, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Understand D2L partner relationships and how they support the sales process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful SaaS or complex solution sales experience, preferably in EdTech, HCM, or eLearning.
  • Proven success in prospecting, building pipeline, and progressing opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Experience managing a pipeline of 50+ accounts and achieving assigned quotas of $1M+.
  • Deep understanding of mid-market sales cycles and experience selling to C-level decision-makers.
  • Strong knowledge of the EMEA Higher Education system.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar sales methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and other sales tools.
  • Working knowledge of web and database technology.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to travel freely between the US and Canada or other countries and hold a valid passport.
  • Bachelor’s degree recommended, ideally in a technical, business, or education-related field.
