Description

  • Serve private equity portfolio companies in Software, SaaS, and AI-enabled technology by evaluating billing and revenue recognition practices and recommending improvements to quote-to-cash and revenue management processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across billing and revenue management platforms, including configuration of revenue rules, allocations, amortization schedules, and automated revenue waterfall reporting.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of usage-based and consumption billing models, including metered billing, tiered consumption, prepaid credit drawdown, and hybrid subscription-plus-usage structures.
  • Help clients operationalize ASC 606 / IFRS 15-compliant revenue recognition policies within billing and ERP systems, including multi-element arrangements, variable consideration, SSP allocation, and contract modifications.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams across billing, revenue, and financial reporting workstreams while mentoring junior team members through coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Design and implement integration architectures between billing platforms, CRM systems, ERP systems, CPQ tools, and data warehouses to enable seamless quote-to-revenue data flow.
  • Develop management reporting and analytics for SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, net revenue retention, usage trends, and product-level profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with portfolio company representatives and private equity sponsors while coordinating delivery with CrossCountry team members.
  • Participate in business development activities by helping market billing, revenue, and technology enablement services and generating new client opportunities.
  • Guide clients through change management for billing system migrations and revenue recognition policy changes, and proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, or SaaS operations.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience leading billing system implementations, revenue recognition configurations, or subscription management platform deployments.
  • Deep expertise in one or more billing and revenue management platforms such as NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), NetSuite SuiteBilling, Zone Billing, Zuora Billing, or Zuora Revenue (RevPro), or comparable solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards, including multi-element arrangements, variable consideration, SSP allocation, and contract modification scenarios.
  • Experience designing and implementing usage-based and consumption billing models for AI, data, API, or cloud infrastructure products with dynamic pricing.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and tasks concurrently across billing, revenue, and ERP workstreams.
  • Experience building financial management reports across SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, bookings, net revenue retention, usage analytics, and headcount.
  • Strong experience with integrations across billing platforms, NetSuite, CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot, CPQ tools, and data warehouses.
  • Software or SaaS industry experience, preferably with usage-based or consumption pricing transformations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field.
  • NetSuite SuiteFoundation, Administrator, or ERP Consultant certification preferred; Zuora certification or equivalent billing platform credentials is a plus.
  • Experience communicating with Controller groups and accounting teams, including understanding of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow drivers for subscription and recurring revenue businesses.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior team members and resolving issues across billing operations, revenue accounting, and system configuration.
  • Comfort using firm-approved AI tools and openness to learning emerging technologies in alignment with company policy.
