Description

  • Design, build, and evolve backend services and tooling for the machine learning development lifecycle.
  • Develop cloud-native infrastructure and automation using Python, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD practices.
  • Partner with machine learning engineers and data scientists to understand workflows and remove friction.
  • Integrate and maintain machine learning tooling such as SageMaker Studio and MLflow.
  • Improve the developer experience of the internal machine learning platform.
  • Make technical trade-offs that balance engineering quality with product value for internal users.
  • Share knowledge, provide technical leadership, and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.

Requirements

  • Professional experience building backend applications in Python.
  • Strong experience developing cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience building or maintaining machine learning platforms, MLOps tooling, or machine learning workflow infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Experience with modern continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence decisions through collaboration and pragmatism.
  • Experience integrating or supporting SageMaker Studio or similar machine learning tooling (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Java or experience working in polyglot engineering environments (preferred).
  • Previous experience as a machine learning engineer or data scientist with an interest in developer tooling (preferred).
