Description

  • Provide strategic advice and ongoing account support to assigned member colleges and universities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned member institutions throughout the application year.
  • Offer best practices for configuring school-specific requirements within the application platform.
  • Guide member schools on how to use Common App programs and services effectively.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for a defined sector of higher education members.
  • Drive product and service adoption among member institutions.
  • Coach and mentor team members within the Member Services team.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex member issues and requests.
  • Share relevant industry trends and information with member institutions.
  • Help ensure a smooth and positive experience for member institutions during the application cycle.

Requirements

  • Must live in the United States.
  • Willingness to travel to attend twice-annual Common App Retreats.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of successful, progressive experience in account management, customer service, management, project management, or communications.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in college recruitment or admissions.
  • Experience in one or more higher education sectors such as community colleges, regional state systems, or institutions that admit the majority of their applicants.
  • Experience serving institutions with many transfer or independent students is preferred.
  • Demonstrated mastery of core technical skills and ability to use them effectively.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyze problems and propose innovative solutions.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Understanding of organizational structure, products, and processes to educate internal teams and member schools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also contributing independently.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Common App’s portfolio of products and services is required.
  • Ability to achieve or exceed service goals and performance metrics.
  • Analytical ability is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience using enrollment CRMs such as Slate or EAB is preferred.
  • Passion for higher education is a plus.
