Description

  • Support core People Operations functions, with a focus on compensation administration, employee relations, HRIS data management, and culture initiatives.
  • Provide accurate, responsive, and employee-centered support to staff and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with senior People Operations team members on day-to-day HR processes and projects.
  • Assist with maintaining and managing HRIS data and related administrative workflows.
  • Support compensation administration activities and related documentation or coordination.
  • Contribute to employee relations processes and help handle sensitive personnel matters appropriately.
  • Help plan and execute culture and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the People Operations team to improve internal processes and support a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Must live in the United States.
  • Willingness to travel to attend the twice-annual Common App Retreat.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Strong interest in developing deep Human Resources expertise, particularly in compensation administration and employee relations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs) and ability to learn HRIS systems.
  • SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR certification preferred.
  • Advanced HR degree, such as a master’s in HR, I/O Psychology, or a related field, preferred.
  • Additional human resources experience specific to compensation and/or employee relations preferred.
  • Passion for higher education is a plus.

  • Target hiring salary range of $59,000 to $66,060.
