Description

  • Own computer vision and agentic AI domains, including architecture selection and model training or fine-tuning.
  • Design and execute experiments from problem framing through model evaluation and prioritization.
  • Drive AI projects end to end, from scoping and proof of concept through production deployment.
  • Partner with product and engineering managers to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
  • Make trade-offs among accuracy, interpretability, latency, and cost, and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
  • Implement and operate AI systems using Clariti’s MLOps infrastructure and tooling.
  • Share technical expertise with research and product teams and improve experimental rigor.
  • Monitor developments in computer vision, generative AI, NLP, and multimodal learning and apply relevant techniques.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of hands-on applied AI/ML industry experience shipping systems that solve business problems.
  • Experience serving as the lead or sole AI expert and taking projects from proof of concept to production.
  • Hands-on MLOps experience with model CI/CD, containerization, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Production experience building agentic AI workflows and LLM applications, including retrieval, tool use, evaluation, and guardrails.
  • Deep experience training and fine-tuning models, curating datasets, defining architectures, and diagnosing training performance.
  • Significant computer vision and image-processing experience, including feature extraction, object detection, segmentation, and geometric transformations.
  • Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with end-to-end ML workflows on AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus strong software engineering practices.
  • Excellent experimental judgment, communication, stakeholder alignment, and ability to work independently in cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred: experience with diffusion models, distillation, multimodal architectures, forward-deployed AI, high-reliability computer vision, startup environments, responsible AI, or civic-tech and regulatory domains.

  • Base salary of $150,000–$180,000 CAD, based on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
