Description

  • Lead the design and evolution of the client’s lakehouse and data lake architecture, including modernization decisions and scalable data patterns.
  • Extend the existing structured-data platform to support unstructured data use cases.
  • Provide technical direction for designing and deploying AI agents using LLMs, RAG, and vector databases to support the sales team.
  • Define and drive the roadmap for LLM adoption and Generative AI integration across the client’s data ecosystem.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for client leadership and senior business stakeholders, translating complex architecture into clear guidance.
  • Implement and enforce DataOps principles, secure access controls, and data lifecycle management practices.
  • Mentor and develop team members while supporting succession planning and balancing team capability across seniority levels.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies in AI, GenAI, and data engineering and recommend improvements that create business value.
  • Identify and mitigate architectural and operational risks to ensure platform reliability, security, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Fluent English at C1 level or above.
  • Proven experience as a Principal Data Architect on large-scale data platform programs.
  • Experience building, migrating, or modernizing data lakes and lakehouse architectures.
  • Deep expertise in AWS as the primary cloud platform, with practical knowledge of core data services.
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI and Applied AI, including LLMs, RAG, and vector databases.
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake, including assessing and improving existing implementations.
  • Strong understanding of DataOps principles, data governance, and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience in Financial Services, such as asset management, investment funds, fintech, or related sectors.
  • Practical knowledge of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency or digital asset environments is highly valued.
  • Experience with Databricks or other data lakehouse platforms is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with hands-on agile methodology experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-grade LLM platforms such as AWS Bedrock or Anthropic Cloud is preferred.
  • Experience in Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Crypto/Web3 Financial Services is preferred.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
