Description

  • Lead digital and cultural transformation efforts within a major Brazilian banking institution.
  • Focus on solution impact and user experience while developing backend capabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and implement efficient solutions.
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing systems.
  • Integrate systems with AWS cloud services.
  • Develop new features and enhance existing functionality for a financial platform operating end to end for the client.
  • Support technical excellence and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
  • Guide junior developers and contribute critical thinking to team processes.
  • Work in agile teams using Scrum and Kanban practices.

Requirements

  • Experience with object-oriented programming, including classes and objects, association, encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism.
  • Experience developing with Python, Node, and Java, including Spring and Hibernate.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, design patterns, Clean Architecture, and BFF architecture.
  • Understanding and application of feature toggles in applications.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices such as SOLID, KISS, YAGNI, DRY, and DDD.
  • Experience modeling REST APIs with Spring Boot and creating gateways using AWS API Gateway.
  • Knowledge of application security, including authentication, authorization, OWASP, and API access best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit 4+ and Mockito.
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
  • Preferred experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Preferred experience with messaging services such as Amazon SQS or Kafka.
  • Preferred experience with DevOps and automation tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Preferred familiarity with version control tools such as Git and GitHub.
  • Preferred CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Preferred experience with Veracode.
  • Experience working with agile teams and Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong continuous-improvement mindset, critical thinking, and ability to mentor junior developers.
