Description

  • Lead the design and execution of QA strategies for legacy system migration projects.
  • Own end-to-end automation framework architecture and implementation to reduce manual regression testing.
  • Validate zero data loss and feature parity across migration phases.
  • Partner with system architects, developers, and stakeholders to identify migration risks and integration issues.
  • Apply testing best practices and the testing pyramid to support the move from monolith to microservices architectures.
  • Perform root cause analyses and risk assessments for legacy-dependent software.
  • Validate REST APIs and conduct database testing to ensure data consistency during migration.
  • Track migration progress, defects, and delivery status using JIRA and related project management tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading QA efforts for complex system migrations, including data migration and environment cutovers.
  • Extensive experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong expertise in REST API validation.
  • Experience with deep database testing and data consistency checks during migration.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and risk assessments for legacy-dependent software.
  • Expert-level familiarity with JIRA and project management tools.
  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP for legacy-to-cloud migration projects (nice to have).
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Locust (nice to have).
  • Advanced SQL skills for complex queries and database analysis (nice to have).
  • Experience leading QA in an Agile/Scrum environment during digital transformation initiatives (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes for automated deployment and migration workflows (nice to have).
