Description

  • Lead hands-on integration of complex hardware and software systems, starting with baseline end-to-end data flow and scaling to full system complexity.
  • Own verification, validation, and fielding for the assigned problem set, translating readiness reviews and requirements documents into real-world test campaigns.
  • Take interface control documents and prove them on the bench, in the field, and across physical, electrical, and data boundaries.
  • Lead multidisciplinary anomaly triage across mechanical, electrical, software, and network domains during integration and field testing.
  • Partner with TPMs, software engineers, and systems engineers to manage technical risk, resource allocation, and product feedback loops.
  • Write test plans, build Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) rigs, and execute readiness reviews and acceptance tests.
  • Travel to customer and field sites to lead operational deployments and support program, proposal, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Diagnose root causes by parsing logs, debugging connections, and validating system behavior in SITL/HITL labs or in the field.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test experience with emphasis on subsystem integration, HITL/SITL testing, V&V, and field execution.
  • Proven track record of bringing complex multi-domain systems from lab to operational environments quickly.
  • Hands-on experience reading Python scripts and parsing JSON payloads, as well as debugging serial connections and analyzing network traffic with tools such as Wireshark, TCP/IP, and UDP.
  • Experience serving as the technical glue between software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
  • Experience running formal customer sell-off milestones such as FAT and SAT.
  • Ability to travel 20%, with potential surges above 20%.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Preferred experience operating, integrating, and troubleshooting systems in maritime or subsea environments.
  • Preferred proficiency with scripting and analysis tools such as Python, bash, and MATLAB.
  • Preferred familiarity with Linux, RTOSes, edge-compute architectures, and HITL/SITL test infrastructures.
