Description

  • Schedule quality demos for the sales team by identifying, researching, and contacting potential customers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients and execute marketing and sales outreach tactics.
  • Hit or exceed a monthly quota for qualified appointments and pipeline activity.
  • Make 60+ outbound cold calls and customized emails per day using sales enablement tools.
  • Prospect quality contacts and accounts that are a strong fit for the Cision platform.
  • Partner with sales representatives to ensure opportunities continue moving forward.
  • Collect market data before and during outreach to understand customer needs and communicate them to the sales team.
  • Become knowledgeable about Cision products, services, buyer types, and core sales tools.
  • Expand working knowledge of Cision’s broader sales methodology and sales cycle.

Requirements

  • 1+ years or equivalent experience in a sales development or similar sales role is not specified, but the role is intended for someone starting or growing a career in sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college.
  • Strong interest in moving into a consultative sales role within a software company.
  • High self-motivation, hunger to succeed, and a strong work ethic.
  • Comfort working high-volume pipelines in dynamic, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environments.
  • Relentless learner with a positive attitude and willingness to share knowledge with the team.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, New Voice Media, Microsoft Outlook, and LinkedIn, or willingness to quickly become proficient with them.
  • Ability to handle outbound activity volume of 60+ calls and customized emails per day.
  • Ability to identify where prospects are in their customer journey and qualify appointments for Account Executives.
