Description

  • Build a personal pipeline through outbound prospecting, agency partners, events, and existing network connections.
  • Run discovery calls and product demos with ecommerce decision-makers.
  • Develop ROI cases that show incremental revenue impact from Checkmate.
  • Move opportunities to close over a small number of calls in a fast-moving sales cycle.
  • Carry and achieve a GMV-based quota by closing deals at volume.
  • Sell the full product line, including Targeting and Cashback, and help shape the pitch for new products.
  • Support customer onboarding and identify expansion opportunities using performance data.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting in HubSpot.
  • Provide product feedback based on customer needs and market gaps.
  • Contribute to GTM strategy as the company expands into new verticals and use cases.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, including at least 2 years selling into DTC or ecommerce brands.
  • Experience closing full-cycle deals for a platform, software, performance, adtech, or media product sold to growth, marketing, or ecommerce leaders.
  • Documented, consistent quota attainment with specific brand logos personally won.
  • Strong understanding of DTC economics, including CAC, LTV, and ROAS.
  • Familiarity with the ecommerce stack, including Shopify, Klaviyo, Attentive, Meta, Google, attribution, and retention tools.
  • Ability to credibly sell to CMOs and VPs of Growth on acquisition, retention, promo strategy, seasonality, segmentation, and incrementality.
  • Comfort thriving in a fast, high-volume sales cycle with minimal structure and support.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful approach to building a personal sales playbook.
  • Experience operating inside a DTC brand at a senior growth or ecommerce level is preferred.
  • Experience as an early or founding AE helping build the sales motion is a plus.
  • Existing relationships across the ecommerce ecosystem are a plus.
  • Pure enterprise SaaS sales experience without ecommerce industry exposure is not a fit.
