Description

  • Own the full new business lifecycle from pipeline strategy and prospecting through pitching, closing, and relationship handoff.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive new business strategy with defined KPIs and pipeline targets.
  • Contribute directly to the Global Partnerships team’s annual revenue goals through a dedicated new business target.
  • Prospect potential partners through outreach, networking, industry events, referrals, and research.
  • Prepare tailored outreach materials, proposals, pitch decks, and partnership packages.
  • Identify and close inbound opportunities with potential to become long-term flagship brand partnerships.
  • Partner on a win-back strategy for lapsed partners.
  • Leverage the Experience Lab in Franklin, TN as a prospecting and deal-closing tool, with emphasis on the Nashville market.
  • Manage the pipeline in Salesforce, including outreach tracking, deal stages, and revenue forecasting.
  • Represent charity: water at virtual and in-person events as a brand ambassador and public speaker.
  • Hold and manage a small portfolio of select donors alongside new business responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in sales, fundraising, marketing, or advertising.
  • 5+ years of new business development or sales experience with a proven track record of hitting revenue goals and closing meaningful deals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence to represent the organization to senior marketing, CSR, and brand leaders.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills across writing, presenting, and direct partner conversations.
  • Strategic ability to connect the mission to partners’ business goals and build a compelling partnership case.
  • Genuine passion for the mission and a positive, solutions-driven mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote environment with self-direction, accountability, and proactive communication.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for speaking engagements, donor meetings, and stewardship events.
  • Ability to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
  • Experience in a medium/large nonprofit or growing tech-savvy business is a plus.
  • A network of corporate relationships with marketing and CSR leaders is a plus.
  • Experience using Salesforce as a CRM tool is a plus.
