Description

  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations, reporting systems, and transaction processing in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Own the monthly close process and ensure the FP&A team receives accurate data for variance analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinate and complete the annual external audit process and required filings, including Form 990.
  • Oversee treasury operations and related internal controls.
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal controls that safeguard organizational assets.
  • Develop and maintain policies and training related to procurement, payments, employee expenses, and related processes.
  • Ensure proper stewardship and compliance for donor-restricted funds.
  • Identify, assess, and address accounting, compliance, and operational risks.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting and financial reporting systems such as NetSuite and related tools.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization on cross-functional initiatives and operational needs.
  • Ensure timely submission of federal, state, and local regulatory filings and registrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including audit exposure.
  • Active CPA license.
  • Strong experience managing clean financial statement audits and internal controls.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders on financial reporting and operational matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high-performing accounting team.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Experience in nonprofit accounting and compliance, including restricted funds, preferred.
  • Experience supporting systems implementations or process improvements, preferred.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced or evolving environments, preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

  • Salary range of $140,000 to $145,000 per year.
