Description

  • Lead end-to-end testing across sprint cycles, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Work with Client Services, Data, and Technology teams to shape software requirements so they can be tested effectively.
  • Create comprehensive test plans and test cases from product requirements and technical specifications.
  • Build and maintain automated regression test suites for Catalist software products.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation.
  • Provide quality feedback that informs production release decisions.
  • Identify, log, prioritize, and track bugs in project tools such as Jira while coordinating with developers on resolutions.
  • Adjust working hours as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Work independently and maintain a strong focus on finding defects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation and quality assurance for JVM and/or web-based software products.
  • Experience with web application testing and web-based API testing.
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience developing test automation scripts for web applications, Java applications, and REST APIs.
  • Conversant skill in Python scripting and coding.
  • Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO, and API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
  • Ability to write automation test code for functional testing of JVM applications.
  • Working understanding of Java and JVM application architecture, including build and deployment processes.
  • Experience testing across multiple browsers and platforms, including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
  • Familiarity with validation, regression, and smoke testing lower in the application stack.
  • Sufficient SQL knowledge to query databases directly and create appropriate test scenarios.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize test cases and test plans to track coverage, progress, and project health.
  • Background check required.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and containerized environments such as Docker (preferred).
  • Experience with columnar or NoSQL databases such as Vertica, Greenplum, RedShift, HBase, or Cassandra (preferred).
  • Experience with cloud-based performance testing tools (preferred).
  • Working understanding of modern web application architecture and components (preferred).
  • Experience with React (preferred).
  • Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo (preferred).
  • Experience with deployment and enterprise use of Redhat or CentOS Linux platforms (preferred).
