Description

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable services in the team’s core stack and cloud platform.
  • Improve software development lifecycle processes, including continuous integration and delivery practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clarify requirements, conduct code reviews, and document changes using Jira and Git.
  • Troubleshoot complex development and deployment issues, resolve bugs, and deliver enhancements from user stories.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and share technical knowledge across the team.
  • Automate repetitive or error-prone development, testing, build, and deployment work using scripts, tooling, or AI workflows.
  • Contribute to backend architecture discussions and support secure transport, certificate validation, and credential-handling work.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, resolve operational issues, and address root causes.
  • Use and evaluate AI tools for coding, design, debugging, documentation, and developer workflow improvements.
  • Maintain limited legacy Windows components through disciplined refactoring and security updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, primarily in cloud or backend development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot or comparable technologies, including production services.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, containerization, and relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC and experience improving development processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.
  • English proficiency at High B2 or C1 level.
  • Experience with Java 25, Spring Cloud Gateway, AWS, Terraform or CloudFormation, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, JUnit, New Relic, Jira, GitHub, or IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Proficiency with inline code-completion tools and conversational AI assistants, with the judgment to validate generated code for correctness and security.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Docker or Kubernetes; open-source contributions; or C++ and native Windows development.
