Description

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for ETL and database solutions, partnering with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements and deliver optimized data solutions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake data systems, data lakes, data warehouses, pipelines, and data models.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for operational databases and analytical platforms.
  • Establish and document secure file transfers, SFTP, batch processing, and real-time streaming workflows.
  • Integrate data visualization platforms and develop optimized models for dashboards and reporting.
  • Coordinate database migrations, upgrades, patches, high availability, replication, clustering, and failover solutions.
  • Define and enforce data governance, security, integrity, compliance, and data quality standards.
  • Analyze and resolve database performance issues through query, index, and schema optimization.
  • Partner with vendors to evaluate and implement database technologies and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL, or database management; financial services and cloud database experience preferred.
  • Experience with database administration, performance optimization, and security.
  • 3+ years designing and building data lakes and warehouses using platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
  • 2+ years using visualization tools such as Power BI, Sisense, Google Looker, or Tableau.
  • Expertise with cloud databases including Azure SQL, Amazon RDS, Google Cloud Spanner, or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with data integration technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Talend, or Informatica, and ETL pipeline development.
  • Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with Python or Java for data manipulation and automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD and pipeline monitoring tools such as GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Airflow, NiFi, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, data quality, security, and regulatory compliance skills.

  • Base salary of $115,000–$130,000 annually.
  • Annual target bonus based on individual performance.
