Description

  • Own ML-powered features from design through deployment in partnership with product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Define success metrics and help scope ML work for features and services you own.
  • Understand and document domain knowledge for your product area.
  • Prioritize work independently while balancing feature development, quality, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with teammates through pairing, code reviews, and cross-functional support.
  • Troubleshoot deployment pipelines, including build, test, and release steps for ML services and data pipelines.
  • Use monitoring and observability tools to triage alerts and incidents and help restore service.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response, including prevention of recurring issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for owned features, data contracts, SLAs, and dependencies.
  • Champion adoption of AI tools across the company.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of shipping and operating ML models in production.
  • Experience across the full ML lifecycle, including exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model experimentation, training, validation, serving, monitoring, and retraining.
  • Experience developing statistical and ML models for use cases such as revenue forecasting, churn analysis, personalization, recommendation, anomaly detection, or natural language processing.
  • Hands-on experience using a managed ML service such as Vertex AI or SageMaker for high-traffic, low-latency, large-data applications.
  • Understanding of foundation models and the open-source ecosystem, including model fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
  • Strong programming and data engineering skills in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or similar languages.
  • Proficiency with ML frameworks such as Keras, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, and workflow tools such as Apache Spark, Beam, Airflow, and Vertex AI.
  • Experience working with time series data and related machine learning problems, plus working knowledge of semantic search and embeddings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Comfort working remotely and using collaboration tools such as Slack and Confluence.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States, as Calendly does not offer immigration sponsorship at this time.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $168,785 to $245,434 USD, depending on location tier and other factors.
  • All full-time employees working 30 hours per week are eligible for the Top Performer Bonus program or Sales incentive.

  • Remote work is supported, with pay determined by remote location.
  • Occasional travel may be required for company events, team collaboration, or offsites.
