Description

  • Own machine learning projects from exploration through production deployment and ongoing iteration.
  • Design and build agentic LLM workflows using tools, retrieval, and orchestration for clinical settings.
  • Develop evaluation datasets, offline and online testing harnesses, LLM-as-judge pipelines, human reviews, and regression tests.
  • Improve model quality through prompting, retrieval, distillation, or fine-tuning based on evidence.
  • Work across data preparation, model adaptation, serving, monitoring, and production feedback loops.
  • Partner with Product, Clinical, and Engineering teams to translate clinical needs into technical decisions.
  • Review code, share knowledge, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping production ML systems that users depend on.
  • Hands-on production experience with LLM prompting, retrieval, tool calling, and agent-style workflows.
  • Experience building evaluation datasets and frameworks and distinguishing meaningful improvements from noise.
  • Strong machine learning fundamentals and sound technical tradeoff reasoning.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into production-ready solutions.
  • Strong software engineering skills, including production-quality code and distributed systems familiarity.
  • Experience debugging complex ML pipelines.
  • Clear communication with technical and clinical stakeholders.
  • Preferred: experience with fine-tuning or preference optimization such as RLHF or DPO.
  • Preferred: experience in healthcare AI or other high-stakes domains, agent frameworks, evaluation tooling, open source, or technical writing.
  • Demonstrated AI proficiency at least at Explorer Level 1; senior roles may require higher proficiency.
