Description

  • Translate functional, technical, and architectural views into low-level technical designs for developers.
  • Work with the Engineering Manager and technical architect to align implementation with program goals.
  • Mentor developers and the test automation team, and help establish best practices and standards.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks based on project requirements.
  • Understand automation test plans, product architecture, and domain details to support effective testing.
  • Test applications at both the user level and code level, including debugging issues and analyzing code quality.
  • Create and enhance backend automation tests, test tools, and specialized testing utilities.
  • Extend API automation frameworks and help implement and maintain continuous integration solutions.
  • Participate in test design and code reviews.
  • Contribute to performance, security, and scalability testing efforts.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with search platforms such as Solr and modern search architectures.
  • Working knowledge of vector databases and semantic search solutions such as Azure AI Search, Pinecone, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application in search, relevance, and matching use cases.
  • Familiarity with ranking and re-ranking concepts and algorithms and their impact on search quality and relevance.
  • 5-7 years of experience in API test automation using Karate, Rest Assured, Cucumber, Java, BDD, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Core Java, C#, or Python.
  • Experience with source code control tools such as SVN, Git, or CVS.
  • Exposure to test and defect management tools such as JIRA, Trail, or Zephyr.
  • Experience with one or more database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Mongo, or Solr.
  • Lead SDET level experience of 7+ years.
