Description

  • Drive test automation across API, UI, and end-to-end coverage.
  • Use and extend AI-assisted test-generation tooling to create and maintain verification-focused tests.
  • Build and maintain scalable test frameworks and CI/CD test infrastructure for real-time trading paths.
  • Partner with product and engineering early to define testability requirements and quality standards.
  • Lead by example on test code quality through clean, maintainable, well-documented test code.
  • Triage test failures quickly, reduce flakiness, and make test results and quality metrics trustworthy.
  • Surface and drive resolution of quality gaps, systemic testing weaknesses, and test-related technical debt.
  • Mentor engineers and SDETs on automation patterns, AI-assisted testing workflows, and non-functional testing.
  • Support testing of order lifecycle, market-data streams, and financially material calculations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software testing experience with a strong focus on test automation and framework development.
  • Expert programming skills and production-quality test code experience in TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch; Playwright preferred, with Cypress, Selenium, or similar also relevant.
  • Comfort using AI/LLM-assisted tooling for test creation and verification, with judgment to validate and curate output.
  • Strong API and real-time testing experience with RESTful services and WebSocket/streaming systems.
  • Solid understanding of a React/TypeScript front end, C#/.NET backend services, databases, and service architecture.
  • CI/CD experience integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions.
  • Proven ability to design test strategies that balance coverage, execution time, and maintenance overhead.
  • Strong debugging skills across frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to advocate for quality across engineering.
  • Preferred: non-functional testing experience in performance, load, and resilience.
  • Preferred: familiarity with ArgoCD, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Preferred: experience testing trading, fintech, or other low-latency/financially sensitive systems.
  • Preferred: experience with contract or consumer-driven testing between services.
  • Preferred: observability-driven testing using logs, metrics, and traces.
