Description

  • Maintain and stabilize the current Magento 2 instance.
  • Manage and support WordPress integrations, custom themes, hooks, and plugin-related work.
  • Take ownership of inherited client codebases by auditing, documenting, and optimizing legacy systems.
  • Execute seamless deployments and support the transition of technical responsibilities.
  • Optimize backend performance, including database queries and caching layers.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Magento, WordPress, and external systems such as ERPs, CRMs, and marketing tools.
  • Collaborate on full-stack development across frontend and backend layers.
  • Support secure operations by applying Magento security patches and WordPress hardening measures.
  • Work with staging-to-production release workflows and Linux-based server environments.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Magento 2.x, including architecture, EAV models, and UI components.
  • Strong WordPress experience with custom themes, hooks, and plugin development.
  • Proven ability to inherit, audit, and optimize existing codebases and document technical debt.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
  • Solid grasp of Composer and PSR standards.
  • Experience optimizing MySQL queries and working with Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS with SASS/LESS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Magento frontend technologies such as Knockout.js and RequireJS is a significant plus.
  • Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs for system integrations.
  • Solid understanding of Git, deployment workflows, and Linux server environments such as Nginx or Apache.
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or a similar certification is preferred.
