Description

  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files and crew documentation in line with maritime and yachting regulations.
  • Track document expiration dates and coordinate timely renewals for visas, work permits, medical certificates, licenses, and training records.
  • Conduct periodic audits of employee records and support vessel audits and inspections with required documentation.
  • Prepare, issue, and maintain employment contracts, amendments, and other HR documentation.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Administer employee benefits and coordinate with providers and external vendors for enrollment and support.
  • Process monthly payroll for yacht crew members and employees in multiple countries, ensuring accuracy in salary changes, bonuses, leave payments, deductions, and reimbursements.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers on HR policies, employment matters, and employee relations issues.
  • Assist managers with performance management, employee development, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations.
  • Manage employee resignations, contract completions, terminations, exit interviews, and final payroll and benefits administration.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the Dominican Republic.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations.
  • Experience managing payroll and employee records.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
  • Experience in the maritime, yachting, hospitality, or luxury services industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MLC requirements and maritime employment regulations is preferred.
  • Experience managing international payroll and multi-country employment matters is preferred.
