Description

  • Define the strategy for growth and product partnerships in alignment with Square's regional go-to-market and seller acquisition priorities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure high-impact partners across referral networks, distributors, service providers, technology platforms, and strategic ecosystems.
  • Lead executive-level negotiations and close partnership deals that expand Square's capabilities and growth.
  • Drive measurable results in lead generation, seller acquisition, and pipeline contribution through strategic partnerships.
  • Launch product partnerships with clear go-to-market plans, co-marketing initiatives, and integrated roadmaps where relevant.
  • Build and sustain C-level relationships with partners to create long-term value.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Legal to execute partnerships smoothly and effectively.
  • Define, track, and optimize partnership KPIs to improve outcomes and continuous growth.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of partnership managers across key global markets.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, and/or product partnerships.
  • 7+ years of experience in senior or executive roles.
  • Proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and scaling high-impact partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with extensive executive-level experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect partnership strategy to measurable seller acquisition and revenue outcomes.
  • Experience building and leading global teams that collaborate globally and execute locally.
  • SaaS, fintech, or payments background strongly preferred.
  • In-store experience preferred.
