Description

  • Own and drive the full post-sale relationship for a portfolio of Square’s largest food and beverage sellers.
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned to each customer’s evolving business needs.
  • Build long-term partnerships with executive teams and key decision-makers across operations, finance, and technology.
  • Lead cross-functional internal initiatives with Product, Engineering, Legal, Sales, and Professional Services to address customer needs and identify innovation opportunities.
  • Deliver recurring business reviews to communicate performance, growth strategy, and strategic alignment.
  • Identify and close upsell, cross-sell, and product expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Mentor and coach peers across the Strategic Account Management team by sharing best practices, playbooks, and client insights.
  • Advise Square’s executive leadership by sharing customer feedback, industry trends, and recommendations that inform roadmap, pricing, packaging, and market positioning.
  • Represent Square externally with confidence and a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry landscape.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, enterprise sales, consulting, partnerships, or solution engineering.
  • Preference for experience with a technical SaaS or payments platform.
  • Proven track record managing a high-value book of business and meeting or exceeding growth, margin, or volume goals.
  • Executive presence and the ability to lead strategic conversations with C-level leaders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and other internal teams to solve complex customer challenges.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy, including experience negotiating commercial terms and supporting strategic deals.
  • Passion for the food and beverage industry and understanding of its operational and growth complexities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both internal and external audiences.
  • Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity and strategic change.
  • Collaborative, low-ego mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
