Description

  • Create and execute an outbound sales strategy to build a book of business in the restaurant vertical.
  • Source leads through cold calling, cold emailing, social selling, and other outbound prospecting activities.
  • Conduct discovery calls, demos, and consultative sales conversations to understand merchant needs and present solutions.
  • Develop tailored solutions using Square’s first- and third-party offerings to fit prospect requirements.
  • Partner with the Business Development team to convert and close cold outbound leads.
  • Build strong relationships with prospects, including occasional field visits to improve win rates.
  • Own the sales cycle from prospecting through close and support successful onboarding with cross-functional teams.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals and KPIs through proactive outbound selling.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to ensure market fit for Square’s solutions.
  • Use Salesforce to track pipeline activity, sales outcomes, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role.
  • Experience with business development, including new logo sourcing and acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets and closing complex deals.
  • Experience selling a diverse ecosystem of products.
  • Ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with prospects.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent CRM experience.
  • Experience in restaurant or SMB sales is strongly aligned to the role (preferred).

  • Starting pay range of $156,200–$234,200 in Zone A, $145,200–$217,800 in Zone B, $137,400–$206,200 in Zone C, or $129,600–$194,400 in Zone D, including target variable compensation.
