Description

  • Own and maintain AWS infrastructure, including VPCs, EC2, Kubernetes clusters, load balancers, security groups, queues, and network security controls.
  • Build and manage Jenkins jobs and CI/CD pipelines that create deployment artifacts such as ZIP packages and Docker images.
  • Maintain Kubernetes deployment configurations and support containerized deployments using kubectl and YAML.
  • Write Linux utility scripts to automate cluster management, deployments, operational tasks, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using C#, T-SQL, Vue, HTML, and CSS.
  • Build and support core services on ServiceStack and the LLBLGen ORM, including integrated applications such as Umbraco and Identity Server.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the UI, API, database, messaging, and deployment layers.
  • Support SQL Server, MongoDB/DocumentDB, and event-driven messaging architecture using MassTransit and message brokers.
  • Mentor engineers, raise code quality and operational standards, and guide technical decisions across the team.
  • Partner with engineering leadership on technical direction, coordinated releases, and onboarding and team growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software, DevOps, or platform engineering.
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure, including VPCs, EC2, Kubernetes, load balancers, and network security controls such as firewalls, WAF, and network ACLs.
  • Strong full-stack development experience with C# and T-SQL.
  • Hands-on experience building services with ServiceStack and the LLBLGen ORM.
  • Supporting experience with Vue, HTML, and CSS.
  • Proven CI/CD experience with Jenkins.
  • Strong command of Docker and Kubernetes operations, including kubectl and YAML deployment configs.
  • Experience writing Linux scripts for operational automation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB/DocumentDB, and event-based messaging systems such as MassTransit, Amazon SQS, RabbitMQ, or Apache MQ.
  • Proficiency with GitHub or GitLab workflows, including branching strategies, code reviews, and coordinated deployments.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical decisions.
  • Demonstrated use of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Devin is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMS and identity platforms such as Umbraco and Identity Server is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting complex distributed applications through development, deployment, and production troubleshooting is strongly preferred.
  • Remote location in Canada or the US.
