Description

  • Own and execute the sales and marketing vision, strategy, and implementation across direct channels.
  • Lead lead-generation efforts and support the field sales team with marketing-driven pipeline activity.
  • Build, manage, inspire, and mentor a high-performing commercial team.
  • Work with Product Management to plan initiatives and optimize return on investment.
  • Improve reporting by focusing on the most relevant commercial metrics.
  • Support sales teams with pitch decks, product demos, and case studies.
  • Create sales and partner enablement tools, including co-branded materials, incentives, and campaigns.
  • Drive customer engagement through email marketing, webinars, and events.
  • Identify brand, PR, and communications opportunities to promote products and services.
  • Work with Client Services to improve customer retention and identify growth opportunities across retail, charity, and ecommerce markets.
  • Create annual budgets and targets aligned to business strategy.
  • Own the Sales and Marketing budget, including bookings and expenditure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in B2B software/SaaS sales and marketing roles.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing commercial teams.
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Experience with marketing automation and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in vertical market software is a strong asset.
  • Experience in private equity-backed businesses is a strong asset.
  • Hands-on leadership style suited to an entrepreneurial, high-accountability environment.
  • Strong retail knowledge and an analytical approach to growth opportunities across retail, charity, and ecommerce sectors.
