Description

Drive delivery of software integrated into autonomous maritime products, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and command and control systems.
Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing for end-user value.
Design and implement scalable software with a clear path for architecture and capability evolution.
Contribute to the design and development of reusable software services across Anduril product lines.
Develop software that runs on both robotic platforms and off-board systems.
Design, implement, and execute development processes for vehicle and mission software, including testing, monitoring, and operation.
Create test and simulation fixtures for software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment activities.
Work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary engineering team and mentor engineers from different backgrounds.
Travel up to 20% of the time to co-locate with end users and other teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer in one or more domains or technologies.
Experience with systems and/or application programming, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
Ability to work across the software stack through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
Ability to act as the technical owner for a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
Ability to learn and grow individually while mentoring junior team members effectively.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Experience writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, and/or Go (preferred).
Experience writing frontend applications using TypeScript and React (preferred).
Experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies (preferred).
Experience with embedded software, particularly in robotics (preferred).
Experience with modeling and simulation (preferred).
Experience with high-assurance safety-critical software (preferred).
Experience across manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment in the product delivery lifecycle (preferred).
Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts (preferred).
Interest in growing into senior engineering roles such as Senior Software Engineer or Staff Software Engineer (preferred).
