Description

  • Drive delivery of software integrated into autonomous maritime products, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and command and control systems.
  • Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing for end-user value.
  • Design and implement scalable software with a clear path for architecture and capability evolution.
  • Contribute to the design and development of reusable software services across Anduril product lines.
  • Develop software that runs on both robotic platforms and off-board systems.
  • Design, implement, and execute development processes for vehicle and mission software, including testing, monitoring, and operation.
  • Create test and simulation fixtures for software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment activities.
  • Work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary engineering team and mentor engineers from different backgrounds.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to co-locate with end users and other teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer in one or more domains or technologies.
  • Experience with systems and/or application programming, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
  • Ability to work across the software stack through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
  • Ability to act as the technical owner for a software service, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
  • Ability to learn and grow individually while mentoring junior team members effectively.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Experience writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, and/or Go (preferred).
  • Experience writing frontend applications using TypeScript and React (preferred).
  • Experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies (preferred).
  • Experience with embedded software, particularly in robotics (preferred).
  • Experience with modeling and simulation (preferred).
  • Experience with high-assurance safety-critical software (preferred).
  • Experience across manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment in the product delivery lifecycle (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts (preferred).
  • Interest in growing into senior engineering roles such as Senior Software Engineer or Staff Software Engineer (preferred).
