Description

Own complex engineering problems end-to-end and drive them to completion.
Design, build, and debug systems across the codebase without relying on ticket queues or formal standups.
Work on low-level infrastructure spanning operating systems, networking, distributed systems, and storage.
Develop and improve components related to low-latency I/O, protocol design, and retrieval systems.
Write code and make technical decisions with other senior engineers, architects, and individual contributors.
Investigate and resolve hard-to-reproduce issues through deep source-level debugging.
Contribute to engineering craftsmanship and maintain code quality that other engineers respect.

Requirements

Deep knowledge of operating systems internals.
Strong understanding of networking from the socket layer up.
Experience with memory, concurrency, and correctness in systems work.
Ability to debug issues that are difficult for others to reproduce.
Fluent in at least 2 programming languages.
Experience in systems programming, distributed systems, storage engines, vector/graph retrieval, low-latency I/O, or protocol design.
High curiosity, strong grit, and low ego.
Willingness to include a sample of work such as a repository, write-up, or postmortem; applications without samples will not be considered.
