Description

  • Own complex engineering problems end-to-end and drive them to completion.
  • Design, build, and debug systems across the codebase without relying on ticket queues or formal standups.
  • Work on low-level infrastructure spanning operating systems, networking, distributed systems, and storage.
  • Develop and improve components related to low-latency I/O, protocol design, and retrieval systems.
  • Write code and make technical decisions with other senior engineers, architects, and individual contributors.
  • Investigate and resolve hard-to-reproduce issues through deep source-level debugging.
  • Contribute to engineering craftsmanship and maintain code quality that other engineers respect.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of operating systems internals.
  • Strong understanding of networking from the socket layer up.
  • Experience with memory, concurrency, and correctness in systems work.
  • Ability to debug issues that are difficult for others to reproduce.
  • Fluent in at least 2 programming languages.
  • Experience in systems programming, distributed systems, storage engines, vector/graph retrieval, low-latency I/O, or protocol design.
  • High curiosity, strong grit, and low ego.
  • Willingness to include a sample of work such as a repository, write-up, or postmortem; applications without samples will not be considered.
