Description

  • Support the development and delivery of major proposals across multiple business lines and functional teams.
  • Write, edit, and prepare technical content, proposal narratives, briefs, white papers, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Coordinate capture, pricing, and outreach activities with managers and senior managers.
  • Work with engineering and program stakeholders to accurately translate AFS technologies into proposal materials.
  • Maintain deal and proposal infrastructure in tools such as Salesforce, SharePoint, and Slack.
  • Coordinate reviews, kickoffs, approvals, and data sharing across internal teams.
  • Collect and organize proposal inputs such as past performance information, resumes, graphics, and corporate data.
  • Support process improvement projects and other cross-functional initiatives.
  • Build and curate a reusable content library of prose, briefs, and graphics.
  • Work toward managing larger and more complex deals from initial opportunity through contract close.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in government contracting or defense contracting is required.
  • Experience in a related government contracting function such as finance, engineering, project management, or contracting is acceptable.
  • Familiarity with cost accounting principles, pricing methodologies, and Excel is required.
  • Excellent writing and critical analysis skills are required.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into a coherent and convincing narrative is required.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities are required.
  • Comfort working across disciplines including design, engineering, program management, supply chain, and finance is required.
  • U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
  • Active SECRET clearance is required.
  • Ability to work in classified environments is required; TOP SECRET clearance is preferred.
