Description

  • Manage technician staff in the production and delivery of hardware through factory acceptance.
  • Set priorities and direct daily operations, including issuing and completing work orders on the production floor.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed, maintain current safety training, and document and correct EHS incidents and hazards.
  • Coach, mentor, and support production technicians while building a positive team culture.
  • Prioritize operator work activities to achieve on-time delivery goals.
  • Ensure quality standards are met throughout production and prevent defects from leaving the station or team area.
  • Provide high-level reports on production status, blockers, risks, and needs to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead daily communication with engineering, supply chain, logistics, quality, technicians, and other partners.
  • Complete daily transactions in production systems including NetSuite, JIRA, and Anduril MES.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in production-oriented or electro-mechanical technician fields.
  • 3+ years in a supervisor or production operations lead/manager role in a high-volume production environment.
  • Experience working with ERP and MES systems.
  • Understanding of the product lifecycle from NPI to scaled production, LEAN manufacturing principles, and change management (ECOs).
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation such as mechanical drawings, work instructions, building plans, equipment specs, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong reliability, organization, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for employee development and experience training both new hires and veteran production staff.
  • Proven process and equipment troubleshooting skills in changing production environments.
  • Experience supporting process development and knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Preferred: experience leading Operations Supervisors and a team of around 100 individuals.
  • Preferred: aircraft new product introduction (NPI) experience and ability to operate across all levels of production maturity.
  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, applied science, or another technical field.
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Preferred: working knowledge of AS9100 standards and OSHA laws.
  • Preferred: ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Preferred: experience in small electronic assembly and drones.
  • Preferred: ability to develop cross-functional relationships as a trusted partner.
