Description

  • Own the monthly revenue performance reporting cycle, including fee revenue, collections, discounts, deferred income, and receivables ageing.
  • Develop and maintain revenue intelligence dashboards and performance narratives for senior management and Board audiences.
  • Track and analyse student cohort revenue trends by programme, campus, scholarship status, and payment modality.
  • Identify revenue risks and opportunities and present actionable recommendations to finance leadership.
  • Monitor collections performance against targets and provide weekly and monthly summaries to Finance Operations and leadership.
  • Partner with Registrar and Enrolment teams to align financial forecasts with academic and student data.
  • Lead monthly management accounts commentary and quarterly Board financial packs, including variance explanations and insights.
  • Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions and funding proposals.
  • Own donor financial reporting end to end, including fund receipt, allocation, utilisation, and compliance tracking.
  • Co-lead the annual budgeting cycle and maintain rolling revenue forecasts, sensitivity analysis, and sustainability models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in financial management, FP&A, or management reporting with business partnering experience.
  • Strong financial reporting and analysis skills, including variance analysis, management accounts, and Board reporting.
  • Experience with revenue-generating operations such as student fees, subscriptions, project-based income, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing donor or grant financial reporting, including budget vs actuals and utilisation tracking.
  • Strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting principles, with the ability to challenge and validate numbers.
  • Prior audit experience, with Big Four experience preferred, or significant exposure to financial close and reporting processes.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or owning month-end close processes in a structured environment.
  • Comfort working with ERP systems such as NetSuite and large datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate financial complexity into clear narratives for non-finance audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to enforce deadlines and challenge slippage constructively.
  • Experience in education, non-profit, or international development finance is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce for revenue and pipeline tracking is desirable.
  • Exposure to institutional performance frameworks, KPI design, and balanced scorecard approaches is desirable.
  • Understanding of revenue recognition, deferred income, and student receivables accounting is desirable.
  • Power BI or other data visualisation tool experience is desirable.
