Description

  • Develop merchandise plans aligned with company goals, sales targets, and market trends across multiple product categories.
  • Own and lead open-to-buy meetings and monthly reviews with senior leadership.
  • Forecast demand using historical data, market trends, and customer insights to guide inventory and replenishment strategies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and sell-through rates, recommending actions to minimize stock-outs and overstock.
  • Analyze sales performance, margin trends, and product profitability and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Manage divisional performance against sales, margin, and inventory-turn targets.
  • Ensure reporting deliverables are accurate, efficient, and aligned with standardized best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and present clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with merchandising teams and influence stakeholders through analysis and insights.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of assortment, demand, or merchandise planning experience, including 2+ years in retail e-commerce.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and retail-math skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, with the ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and prioritize work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated daily use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini for real work.
  • Softgoods or apparel planning experience preferred.
  • Experience planning a mixed-brand business preferred.
  • Knowledge of demand planning, allocation, or forecasting systems such as JDA, Oracle, SAP, or Anaplan preferred.
  • Ability to complete a mandatory in-person interview and pass a background check preferred/required for employment.
