Description

  • Consult on complex employee relations issues, including performance management, workplace conflicts, and policy violations.
  • Work with business leaders to recommend actions for employee performance concerns and administer Corrective Action Plans.
  • Partner with the ER Manager and Legal team to conduct internal investigations into discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other allegations.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation in the employee relations case management system and track case progress.
  • Identify gaps in ER processes and suggest improvements using employee data, metrics, and trends.
  • Drive adoption of employee relations practices through communication and training for managers and employees.
  • Assist with developing and facilitating ER-related training for People Managers on topics such as performance management and leadership best practices.
  • Stay current on employment law changes relevant to employee relations work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of equivalent experience in employee relations, HR generalist, HR business partner, or labor/employment law.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience in employee relations and/or HR-related certifications considered.
  • Experience with workplace investigations, negotiation, and conflict management.
  • Deep understanding of US employment law, EEO regulations, anti-discrimination and accommodation laws, including Title VII, the ADA, and the FMLA, plus state equivalents.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in challenging or confrontational situations.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain key points, risk, and the rationale behind recommendations.
  • Previous project management experience preferred.
