Description

  • Serve as the primary owner of the benefits and leave-of-absence inboxes and resolve Tier 2 employee inquiries.
  • Research and resolve complex employee issues related to plan details, ID cards, and eligibility corrections.
  • Manage intake and documentation for parental and sabbatical leaves.
  • Monitor timecards for employees on leave and coordinate payroll impacts.
  • Perform manual pay calculations for FMLA and parental leave, including state-offset reconciliations.
  • Support monthly premium and fee reconciliations by downloading invoices and completing eligibility-to-bill tie-outs.
  • Monitor weekly HRIS-to-carrier file feed error reports and drive timely resolution.
  • Maintain the benefits portal and internal knowledge base, including FAQs and employee communications.
  • Maintain ticket logs and prepare monthly operational metrics for leadership review.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or Benefits administration in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Experience handling sensitive files simultaneously with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform manual leave-pay calculations and manage high-volume inbox work.
  • Strong numerical competency for payroll adjustments and leave-pay offset calculations.
  • Preferred experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, UKG, or ADP.
  • Preferred experience with leave management software.
  • Prior experience with UKG and UNUM is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data comparison and payroll calculations.
  • Basic understanding of FMLA, ADA, and state-mandated paid leave programs.
