Description

  • Set the FP&A architectural and operating vision and direct analysts, data-warehouse resources, and project management support toward it.
  • Manage and develop the existing FP&A team and decide when to add finance business partners.
  • Build a culture of ownership, proactivity, and collaboration across the finance team.
  • Lead the migration of historical FP&A data from spreadsheets into the data warehouse.
  • Define and implement a scalable planning architecture for scenario planning, reporting, and automated pipelines.
  • Champion AI and modern tooling to automate reporting, surface anomalies, and accelerate insights.
  • Build real-time, self-service budget visibility for general managers and department heads.
  • Own revenue planning across ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, and product-level P&L for six products.
  • Lead headcount planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly reforecasting cycles.
  • Serve as the primary financial partner to GMs and department heads and support the CFO on board, investor, and strategic materials.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of progressive finance experience, including meaningful FP&A leadership in a SaaS or recurring-revenue environment, ideally with B2C experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of transforming finance processes from first principles.
  • Strong command of SaaS unit economics, including ARR, NRR, CAC/LTV, gross margin, Rule of 40, and product-level P&L.
  • Comfort working with imperfect data and building confidence in numbers before infrastructure is pristine.
  • Hands-on experience building or modernizing financial workflows with AI/LLM tools such as Claude or ChatGPT, or a strong appetite to learn quickly.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to translate financial complexity for GMs, engineers, and the board.
  • Experience with data warehouse environments such as Snowflake or BigQuery; SQL proficiency is a strong plus.
  • A genuine desire to build and lead a team.
  • Background in investment banking, consulting, or PE/VC-backed SaaS is strongly preferred.
  • Experience evaluating or implementing FP&A platforms such as Adaptive, Planful, Pigment, Mosaic, or Anaplan is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BI and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Metabase, or Quicksight is preferred.
  • Experience managing or mentoring analysts and building team culture in a lean finance org is preferred.
  • Exposure to multi-product SaaS businesses and product-level P&L management is preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a nice to have.
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition is a nice to have.
  • MBA, CFA, or CPA is valued but not required.
