Description

  • Lead end-to-end VCF projects from initiation through closure.
  • Collaborate with account teams and pre-sales specialists to assess client priorities and build project plans and backlogs.
  • Develop, define, and execute project plans and agile boards.
  • Identify required resources and coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to support project success.
  • Manage project risks, issues, timelines, scope, and quality to achieve delivery goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Maintain customer relationships and identify additional sales opportunities.
  • Use tools such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, and Jira to manage project work.
  • Identify process gaps and contribute to improvements in PMO processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • IT infrastructure or data center experience is required, including compute, storage, and networking.
  • Knowledge and expertise with VCF (VMWare Cloud Foundation) is required.
  • Experience managing financials and resources in Salesforce is preferred.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet and Jira.
  • Ability to independently manage medium- to high-risk projects in customer environments.
  • Applied knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project management best practices, including PMBOK.
  • Foundational understanding of IT project methodologies and life cycles, including conversions, incremental, rapid delivery, and waterfall phases.
  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict management, and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with executive-level clients.
  • Ability to use negotiation techniques to reach agreement across differing viewpoints.
  • Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale.
  • Willingness to show initiative outside core responsibilities when needed.
