Description

  • Consult with customers and prospects to understand their needs, pain points, and business outcomes.
  • Architect and design solutions on the ServiceNow platform independently and in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Demonstrate ServiceNow platform capabilities to customers and prospects through live presentations and prototyping.
  • Conduct business process and technical workshops, including enablement sessions.
  • Translate business challenges into requirements and deliverables with sales and delivery teams.
  • Develop documentation, pricing, and statements of work for customer engagements.
  • Learn adjacent technologies that integrate with ServiceNow to support holistic solutions.
  • Provide enablement and product/solution guidance to the technical sales team during pre-sales discussions.
  • Obtain and maintain pre-sales ServiceNow certifications across product lines.
  • Engage with the ServiceNow community as a thought leader on solutioning.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a solution engineer, sales engineer, or consultant for a software company.
  • College degree or equivalent experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong functional knowledge of the ServiceNow platform across multiple modules.
  • ITIL Foundations v3 or higher certification, or working knowledge of ITIL concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical material clearly.
  • Deep understanding of technical architectures, IT products, and product positioning.
  • ServiceNow certifications and accreditations are strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of web development or mobile app development, business modeling, database concepts, and project management, preferably using Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms such as Tanium, Atlassian, BigPanda, Splunk, Datadog, and LogicMonitor is a plus.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and frameworks/libraries such as AngularJS, jQuery, Prototype, and Bootstrap is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions, endpoint collection, IoT, machine learning, and other emerging technologies is a plus.
  • Understanding of web services such as SOAP, REST, WSDL, and XML is a plus.
